Board Meeting

The monthly meeting of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association Board of Trustees was called to order at 7:10 pm on Thursday February 13th, 2014.  Trustees in attendance were Ray Byrd, Amrik Pandher, Eileen Richards, Christine Sylvia and Brandy Bradford.  Adrian Ryneveld and Larkann Hollister had made their absences known to the Board.  Also in attendance was Barb Simeona, Association Bookkeeper.

Any changes to the outside of your home must have
an approved architectural control form on file
prior to work being done on the home.

Renton Fire Department – No one present to report.

Homeowner Appeals – No one present to appeal.

Community Events – The Annual Easter Egg Hunt details will be announced in March.

Pride In Ownership – Nothing until April 2014.

Minutes of the Previous Meeting – A motion was made seconded and approved to accept the January meeting minutes as presented.

Financial Report – The monthly financial report was presented.

Treasurer’s Report – Ray noted that the Bank of America account will be closed soon.  He will check with them regarding the safety deposit box and the CD that is held there. 

Ray will be asking Adrian if cash will be needed for the Molasses Creek issue.  Most CD’s held by the Association are tied up until the end of the year however the penalties for withdrawing are very small.

Architectural Control Report – Nothing new to report.

Common Properties Report – There is nothing new on the Molasses Creek/Park Pipeline issue.

The Boy Scouts that decorated the front entryway for the holidays still have not been paid.  Barb noted this is because they have not turned in the proper tax form.  Eileen will make sure they turn this in.

Brandy noted that King County contacted her to unlock the fence to the lower park area.  She did it - however one of the two locks is missing again. 

Covenant Enforcement – All homes in violation were reviewed. 

Unfinished Business – See action items below.

New Business – Ray Byrd discussed the request from Adrian Ryneveld for a 1 month leave of absence with a possible extension to 2 months.  A motion was made, 2nd and approved to grant this approval.

The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m. after a motion was made, 2nd and approved to adjourn.

The next two monthly meetings of the Fairwood West Homeowners’ Association will be held on Thursday, March 13th, 2014 and Thursday, April 10th, 2014 in the portable building both at 7:00 p.m., at the Nativity Lutheran Church, 17707 140th SE. 

All residents are welcome to attend.

Outstanding Action Items –

Barb – send Eileen W9 form for the Boy Scouts

Brandy – Handbook of processes for new Board Members.

Eileen – Pursue a discount for HOA members at McLendon’s Hardware.

Entire Board – Go around and check on rental homes.
Begin the 2014 CC&R walk thru process in April 2014.
